Kicking Butt and Taking Names, Bavarian Style

Eric's name, that is. Turns out I am a damn fine putt-putt golfer. Who knew?

We took a weekend getaway in Leavenworth the last weekend of summer, right before school started for me. I do so love a good theme town. We stayed at my favorite hotel, the Enzian Inn, which is full of wonderfully cheesy Bavarian charm, from the awesome bust-enhancing costumes worn by the front desk ladies (like the St. Pauli girl, only better), to the hand-painted hearts on the wooden dressers in the rooms. Plus the free breakfast rocks, and includes a knee-sock and lederhosen-sporting man playing the alpenhorn to greet the new day in a special Bavarian way. It's like watching the Ricola cough drop commercial, but with cream cheese danishes and hot coffee. Heaven!

Yes, that is a tiny bottle of chardonnay in my hand. It apparently helped my game.

Eric senses defeat.

At the rest stop where someone locked the keys in the car.
