Bachelorette Party

There were no veils worn, no body shots, no strippers...we did tell Jenny's dad that we had a stack of ones with his name on it, but he said we couldn't afford him anyway.

We started with pedicures at a super cute salon in Fairhaven, which included champagne and snacks. Cara, Christy, and I all got subdued colors, in preparation for the upcoming ceremony and reception (I got a very virginal lavender), but Jenny got a sparkly orange-red with tiny flowers, jewels, and glitter on top of the swirly, hand-painted vines. I am totally going to copy her before we head to Hawaii--as she said, they are vacation toes.

Pedis were followed by pupus and time with little Daphne at Liz and Steve's house, and we were off to dinner at the Copper Hog. The cooks at the restaurant were nice enough to take all of the calories out of our FOUR orders of french fries, in light of my pre-wedding diet.

We finished the night with drinks at Uisce, which culminated in a random stranger buying me a shot of some sort of green apple liqueur, and the following toast:

Here's to the men who are big,
Here's to the men who are small,
Here's to the men who think they are big, but really aren't at all.
But the ones we raise our glasses to in the middle of the night,
Are the ones that go from small to big and stick it in just right.

If that doesn't say "Happy Wedding," I don't know what does.
